A Community of Young Professionals, Executives and Entrepreneurs in Texas
TYP Activities
WHO WE ARE
Texas Young Professionals is a community of professionals in their 20s to mid-40s across Texas. Our mission is to foster relationship-building, career development, entrepreneurial endeavors and civic involvement among young professionals. The TYP vision is to empower our members to be leaders in business and our local communities.
OUR VISION
We want to empower young professionals to freely determine the direction of their lives, pursue happiness and strive for professional success. TYP’s vision is to foster leadership traits and encourage young professionals in entrepreneurial endeavors, community leadership and individual self-determination.
NETWORKING MIXERS
For nearly a decade, Texas Young Professionals has been hosting monthly business networking socials. Our networking events offer a collegial environment where emerging professionals and entrepreneurs can make new business connections, share ideas, and build lasting relationships. Typically, a local charity is featured at each monthly networking event.
BUSINESS ROUNDTABLES
TYP offers occasional, exclusive business roundtables. Generally professional firms or businesses host the roundtables in their conference or training rooms. Occasionally, we hold the roundtables at local restaurants. During these lunches, we discuss various business and professional issues. These roundtables enable young professionals to join the discussion about the issues of the day, and build peer-to-peer and mentor relationships.
THRIVE
Texas Young Professionals is excited to announce the launch of Thrive, an emerging leaders development program in partnership with the Lone Star Policy Institute. Technological and social changes are disrupting commerce and our communities. Thrive will be a future-oriented conversation about innovation, economic empowerment, and resilience for tomorrow’s leaders of Texas.
